EAI has consistently expanded its reach within Korea and abroad by promoting research aimed at development of global governance and democracy. The Center for Democracy Cooperation and the Center for Future Innovation and Governance conduct particularly rigorous research. The Asia Democracy Research Network (ADRN), a symbol of EAI’s commitment to regional democracy promotion, is a network of think thanks and experts who contribute to research on governance. Within ADRN, EAI serves as the secretariat, acting as a bridge that connects different regional institutions and global forums. The long-term working relationship with National Endowment for Democracy (NED), which provides fund for the ADRN, has laid a solid foundation for EAI to enhance the quality of its international network to advance policy impact and democracy agenda. Furthermore, with a close partnership with the National Democratic Institute (NDI), EAI has been leading projects to identify strengths of Korean democracy and share South Korea’s successful democratization stories. EAI and NDI continue to engage Korean lawmakers to facilitate overseas democratic support. This partnership enables EAI to expand networks with European and American experts and relevant institutions in the field.
