Civil Society Reporr – Liberia

While Liberia has made significant progress towards developing normative legal frameworks for the implementation of articles of Chapter II (Preventive Measures) of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), some gaps persist, especially regarding their actual implementation on the ground. The country still has a long way to go to develop an adequate framework to implement articles of Chapter V (Asset Recovery) of the UNCAC. These are the main findings of the report, which is intended as a contribution to the UNCAC implementation review process in its second cycle. The report was produced by the Center for Security Studies and Development (CENSSAD) and made possible with funding provided by the governments of Norway and Denmark.
