This document examines how Georgia’s single party dominance leads to extremely dangerous levels of political confrontation and reduced opportunities for the opposition to perform its duties. With both political and financial power being so concentrated, a large part of the opposition as well as civil society groups tend to conclude that elections are no longer a credible or possible avenue for serious political change.
