This article analyses how the People’s Republic of China (PRC) interferes in democratic countries, underscoring the strengths of the PRC’s approach as well as weaknesses to leverage. It highlights key sources of democratic resilience IRI has observed that offer lessons and opportunities for future efforts to counter authoritarian aggression.
