To advance the global democracy agenda, the third Global Democracy Coalition Forum 2024 will convene between 11 – 15 March 2024, for a week-long celebration of democracy. This timing strategically positions the Forum to pave the way for the forthcoming Summit for Democracy in South Korea, to be held on 18-20 March in Seoul.
Anticipated as a week-long celebration for democracy, the Global Democracy Coalition Forum 2024 promises to be a series of landmark events in the pursuit of advancing democracy globally together with partner organizations of the Global Democracy Coalition. Hybrid regional democracy fora will be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Accra, Ghana; Barcelona, Spain; and Seoul, South Korea, culminating in a hybrid Global Democracy Forum in Seoul on 15 March. The fora are aimed to provide a space for dialogue on democracy, bringing together a diverse and multi-sectoral group of democracy organizations from the Global Democracy Coalition, policymakers, and democracy advocates from around the world, to explore regional perspectives on democracy, and identify solutions to the challenges faced, culminating in a global gathering, to inform the Summit for Democracy.
