In Memoraim Newsletter Submission

The Global Democracy Coalition (GDC) offers an In Memoriam section in our monthly newsletter as a space for GDC partner organizations to share notices regarding the passing of a colleague affiliated with their organisation.

This section is entirely partner-driven. The GDC does not select, curate, or endorse individual submissions. All content included is provided voluntarily by member organisations.

Who may submit:

Submissions may be made only by GDC partner organizations and must refer to an individual who was formally affiliated with the submitting organisation (for example, as a staff member, board member, or long-term collaborator).

What may be submitted:

1. A brief notice acknowledging the passing of a colleague.

2. A short organisational statement, as published on your organization’s website or official channels.

3. A link to the full memorial statement on your organisation’s website or another official platform.

The GDC will not edit or expand submitted content beyond formatting for the newsletter.

This section serves as a shared information space, allowing Coalition partners to be informed of losses within our sector. Inclusion in the newsletter does not imply endorsement, recognition, or selection by the GDC. This section is not intended as a comprehensive memorial, awards programme, or recognition initiative.

Submission process:

Submissions are voluntary and optional. Content must be submitted by the 3rd Monday of every month to be considered for the upcoming newsletter edition.

Important note:

To ensure fairness, clarity, and consistency, the GDC will only publish information submitted directly by partner organizations. Submissions must relate to individuals affiliated with the submitting organization. The GDC cannot accept third-party submissions or requests on behalf of non-member organizations.
