Registrations are now open for International Democracy Day Brussels 2026. At a time when democracy is facing growing pressures around the world, spaces for dialogue, collaboration and collective action are more important than ever. IDD Brussels has become a leading annual platform bringing together policymakers, civil society, researchers and democracy actors to reflect on shared challenges, exchange ideas and strengthen partnerships across regions.
This year’s edition, “What’s Next for Democracy? | Innovation and Alliances in a Changing World”, will focus on how new approaches and partnerships can contribute to more resilient and inclusive democratic systems in a rapidly evolving global context.
We look forward to convening alongside our co-hosts and Coalition Partners International IDEA, European Partnership for Democracy (EPD), European Endowment for Democracy (EED), ENoP – European Network of Political Foundations and Carnegie Europe to continue advancing these critical conversations. The conference will take place in Brussels on 17 September 2026, bringing together voices from across sectors and regions to explore the future of democratic cooperation and renewal.
