Our Coalition Partner, People Powered is inviting creators from around the world to imagine, and show, what that future could look and feel like. Through the Democracy Stories Lab, they are launching a global open call for visual storytellers to share compelling narratives about voice, fairness, belonging, and the power of collective decision-making. Too often, conversations about democracy remain within policy and advocacy circles. This initiative seeks to go beyond those spaces, amplifying stories that resonate with broader audiences and reflect lived experiences, whether it is the dignity of being heard, the trust built through community action, or the freedom to disagree without fear.
Creators are encouraged to submit short videos, illustrations, or graphics that bring these ideas to life. Submissions can be original or previously published, and creativity is strongly encouraged, whether through art, storytelling, humour, or everyday content that sparks reflection and dialogue. Applications open on 14 July, with submissions due by 14 September. Selected entries will receive recognition and awards, along with global amplification across People Powered and Democracy Narratives Alliance networks.
