Call for Proposals: PeaceCon 2027

PeaceCon 2027, organized by our Coalition Partner the Alliance for Peacebuilding in partnership with George Mason University’s Carter School and the University of Notre Dame’s Kroc Institute, is seeking proposals for interactive and innovative sessions that address the future of peacebuilding and conflict prevention. Taking place from 11–14 January 2027 in Washington, DC, Arlington, VA, and online, the conference will bring together global peacebuilders to explore how existing peace and security systems can be reimagined, how innovative methodologies and technologies can be scaled to advance sustainable peace, and how stronger partnerships, resilience, and social cohesion can be fostered to build a broader movement for peace.

The call encourages practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and community leaders to submit proposals for engaging 75-minute workshops, dialogues, and other participatory formats that move beyond traditional panel discussions. Successful submissions should offer practical, solutions-oriented approaches under one of three thematic tracks: developing new structures for peace and security, transforming the field through innovation and evidence-based practice, and strengthening collaboration and community resilience to prevent and resolve conflict. Proposals are due by 18 September 2026.
