On May 4, at the UNESCO World Press Freedom Day Conference in Santiago, Chile, the GDC’s partner GFMD is convening a Summit to discuss how to implement the OECD Development Cooperation Principles on Relevant and Effective Support for the Media and the Environment of Information in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The summit will reinvigorate support for independent media and the information environment across Latin America and the Caribbean, uniting journalists and media support workers with donors and policymakers to discuss strategies for implementing the newly adopted Principles of Development Cooperation of the OECD for Relevant and Effective Support for the Media and the Information Environment .
- To attend the Summit, you must first register and be approved to attend the UNESCO World Press Freedom Day Conference.
- Once your application is approved, UNESCO GFMD and IPDC members and partners are encouraged to register for the Summit. The registration form is available in English and Spanish . Due to limited places, only participants who registered in advance will be able to participate.
