The 4th Annual Democracy & Governance Student Research Symposium will take place Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 PM EST at Georgetown University. Hosted by the Center for Democracy and Civil Society, the symposium brings together graduate students from across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia who are tackling some of the most pressing questions facing democracy and governance today.
The event will feature a dynamic poster symposium showcasing emerging student research, with projects reviewed by judges from leading democracy organizations. In addition to gaining valuable experience presenting in a professional setting, students will have the opportunity to receive awards and certificates recognizing outstanding research, with winners announced at the close of the event.
