This side-event was dedicated to educating local actors and stakeholders in Togo about the significance of citizen participation in fostering local democracy and ensuring good governance. The workshop consisted of a panel discussion featuring four communicators who will explore various methods through which citizens can actively engage in local governance processes, thus bolstering grassroots democracy. Attendees had the opportunity to delve into insightful discussions and gain a deeper understanding of how their involvement can positively impact decision-making at the community level, ultimately contributing to the improvement of governance structures within their communities.
