The Twenty-First Annual Seymour Martin Lipset Lecture on Democracy in the World – David vs. Goliath: Democracy and Autocracy in the Russo-Ukrainian War

The 2024 Seymour Martin Lipset Lecture on Democracy in the World will be delivered by Serhii Plokhii, the Mykhailo S. Hrushevs’kyi Professor of Ukrainian History and the Director of the Ukrainian Research Institute at Harvard University.
 
The lecture will be followed by a moderated conversation with Serhii Plokhii and Damon Wilson.
 
Inaugurated in 2004, the Lipset Lecture is a joint annual lecture sponsored by the National Endowment for Democracy, the Embassy of Canada to the United States, and the University of Toronto’s Department of Political Science and Munk School of Global Affairs.
