Democracy and peace is under pressure from polarisation, disinformation, declining trust, and authoritarian regimes. Young people and the digital generation are mobilising for change and have the ambition and tools to make a difference but they need the platform and reach to turn dialogue into impact. Words Matter! 2026 will create a space for intergenerational, cross industry dialogue that leads to concrete actions for strengthening democracy, co-operation and dialogue.
This year’s conference will focus on the theme of ‘Dialogue in action: How to rebuild a fractured world’, with discussions focusing on strengthening global governance in an age of transition, young voices building a new tomorrow, and the role of religious leaders in rebuilding and reconciliation.
