Voices for Democracy: A Global Mosaic of Insight, Experience and Commitment
Across regions, democracy is confronting pressures ranging from misinformation to shrinking civic space. Yet it is also being strengthened through the work of defenders, reformers and engaged citizens. This series of 75 multimedia videos, produced as part of the Global Democracy Coalition’s #KeepDemocracyAlive campaign, brings together a global mosaic of perspectives on what is needed to safeguard and renew democratic systems.
The collection combines two forms of content. Some videos share the voices of activists, practitioners, and community leaders who reflect on their lived experiences defending democratic values. Others offer clear and accessible explanations of key issues such as transparency, accountability, digital threats, participation and inclusion. Together, they highlight both the human stories and the foundational principles that shape the future of democracy.
This is more than a video series. It is a shared resource and a living archive of knowledge, experience and inspiration, reminding us that democracy requires continuous attention, protection and imagination.
