Across every region of the world, democracy is facing profound challenges, but it is also being fiercely defended. In this powerful series of 75 multimedia videos, the Global Democracy Coalition brings together a mosaic of voices from every corner of the globe in our #KeepDemocracyAlive advocacy campaign: a bold and timely initiative that reminds us not only why democracy matters, but what is at stake if we let it fail.

Each video features a different champion of democracy: activists, political leaders, students, artists, journalists, and everyday citizens, reflecting on their personal experiences and perspectives. These responses touch on themes that are central to the future of democratic societies. Their stories reveal both the fragility and the resilience of democratic values around the world.

This is more than a collection of videos. It is a living archive of testimony, insight, and inspiration, a reminder that democracy is not self-sustaining. It must be nurtured, defended, and reimagined in every generation.

Scroll through the videos below and listen to those who are working every day to keep democracy alive. Let their words move you to action.
