Committee Of The Families Of The Kidnapped And Disappeared Of Lebanon – Advocacy Case Study Analysis

Over 17,000 Lebanese and non-Lebanese went missing or were forcibly disappeared during the Lebanese civil war between 1975 and 1990. Little to no information has been shared about their whereabouts and conditions. This study analyses how the families of these individuals came together in 1982 to exercise their right to know what happened to them and ultimately formed the Committee of the Families of the Kidnapped and Disappeared in Lebanon.
