For decades, youth in El Salvador have struggled with the social stigma of being associated with gangs, which has largely deterred them from becoming agents of change to reform the justice and security sectors. Explore how peacebuilding techniques applied through USAID’s Rights and Dignity program can improve relations between youth and the police. Counterpart International has implemented this program in El Salvador since 2017 in with Partners El Salvador and the Due Process of Law Foundation (DPLF).
