Digital Sherlocks

This program’s objective is to identify, expose, and explain disinformation where and when it occurs using open source research; to promote objective truth as a foundation of government for and by people; to protect democratic institutions and norms from those who would seek to undermine them in the digital engagement space. Over the years we have worked to grow and support our community of Digital Sherlocks through dedicated trainings and workshops for journalists, students, and members of civil society around the world. Since 2019, DFRLab experts have trained over 2,500 people across six continents on media literacy, open-source investigative techniques, fact-checking and source verification, narrative analysis, Media monitoring, and many other topics.
