For World AIDS Day 2023, Friends of the Global Fund, Japan (FGFJ) invited Professor Salim S. Abdool Karim and Professor Quarraisha Abdool Karim from Centre for the AIDS Programme of Research in South Africa (CAPRISA) in South Africa to Tokyo, Japan. On November 30th, FGFJ invited Dr. Karims to a joint Diet Task Force and Advisory Board meeting. The meeting included about 28 participants across the FGFJ Diet Task Force, Advisory Board, and additional observers. Dianne Stewart, Deputy Director of the External Relations and Communications Division and Head of the Donor Relations Department at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (The Global Fund), was also invited as a guest speaker.
