APHR organized the 2023 Parliamentarians at Risk Report hybrid launch in Manila, the Philippines to highlight the threats and harassment against parliamentarians in carrying out their mandate throughout 2023. The launch featured speakers representing countries covered in the report; the Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Malaysia.
Additionally, to be able to position itself strategically in addressing pressing democratic issues, a meeting among its members was organized to understand the current human rights situation in the country and how APHR as a network of parliamentarians from the region can help advocate in addressing the issues.
