In order to ensure a strong Transatlantic Alliance, the International Republican Institute (IRI) gathered participants from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia to form the inaugural class of Transatlanticists dedicated to preserving and strengthening the Transatlantic Alliance and the democratic values it stands for. The contents of this paper are the result of a collaborative effort to share the main lessons learned by program participants from September 2020 until December 2021. It also aims to provide the perspective of each participant’s respective country on the security issues facing both their country and the Transatlantic Alliance at large.
