FILIMBI is a pro-democracy citizen movement based in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Founded in 2015, its name means “whistle” in Swahili, symbolizing alert and citizen mobilization.

FILIMBI is known for its bold activism in the face of democratic challenges in the DRC, often at the cost of repression. The movement collaborates with other civil society organizations and maintains international ties to strengthen its impact.

Despite the challenges, FILIMBI continues to play a crucial role in promoting democracy and good governance in the DRC, embodying the hope of a new generation for positive change in the country.
