Freedom Forum is a non-profit and non-government organization with more than two decades of experience in promoting democratic governance in Nepal through research and advocacy activities on press freedom, freedom of expression, right to information, open parliament and open government, electoral reform and open budget. FF has been a pioneer advocate of inclusive political process and Right to Information (RTI) in Nepal with its established RTI support center and a user-friendly guide RTI Nepal mobile application in place.
FF’s national and international collaboration are its additional strengths to conduct research and advocacy campaigns in its thematic areas. FF is a collaborative partner with National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), National Information Commission, Office of Auditor General, Digital Freedom Coalition Nepal, Election Observation Network and a member of International Freedom of Expression Exchange (IFEX), Freedom of Information Advocates Network (FOIANET), CIVICUS, Open Government Partnership Secretariat, Trust Law and Global Forum for Media Development (GFMD) and other global media and civil society networks and forums.
