This event explored the relationship between the church and democracy in Zambia. As a country with a significant Christian population, the church has played a crucial role in shaping the political landscape. During this session, we will discuss the historical, current, and future roles of the church in Zambia’s democracy. We will examine the advantages and disadvantages of the church’s involvement in politics and explore its potential contributions to the country’s democratic processes. Moreover, we will brainstorm ideas on how the church can utilize its position to promote positive change in Zambia. The session culminated with the development of recommendations and best practices for Zambia going forward.
