This event included a discussion with Dr. Thierno Baldé of the World Health Organization. Dr. Baldé reported experiences with the deployment of emergency medical teams to humanitarian crises involving armed conflicts and complex humanitarian environments. In addition, he shared his perspectives on opportunities for improvement and anticipated challenges. This event was held in collaboration with the HBCU-Africa Correspondents Corps.
